About

Northerner in London. I write how I speak, which often means my blog may not be all that coherent but has lots of dry wit.

When I was a child I wanted to blend into the background, I actually wanted to live my school days being invisible. It wasn’t until my last year of middle school when I realised I quite liked being a bit different, and at the end of the day, I didn’t actually care what other people thought of me.

I realised I’m not this painfully quiet, shy girl that I thought I was. I can actually be annoyingly loud. But mostly, I’m just inquisitive and thoughtful about the world, and it’s taken me this long to be confident enough to wonder out loud.

I’m just a happy-go-lucky kind of person who sometimes finds writing easier than talking.

I started this blog when I was still a teenager, so I apologise for the bad grammar and angst you may come across from my earlier posts. I thought about deleting them, but if you can’t laugh and squirm about your past self, then what’s the point? What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

This blog is just my way of expressing my often confusing and contradictory thoughts.

I mainly write about my life woes – some subtle and some not-so subtle, my love of London and my London Bucket List, the media and the occasional intellectual post about current affairs. Sometimes I might be lazy and post a photo, it happens.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
